Billing/Collections Clerk - with or without reasonable accommodation

As a Colorado VNA Billing/Collections Clerk, you will:



  •  Hold responsibility for reviewing claim data to ensure accuracy and completion.

  •  Work with other departments to resolve errors or obstacles to producing accurate and complete claims in a timely way, utilizing knowledge of internal work process, regulatory requirements, and payors contractual requirements.

  •  Prepare and submit accurate (clean) claims to insurance payors either electronically or on paper.

  •  Review and file notices of payments, denials, and/or adjustments.

  •  Generate corrections, appeals, and other follow-up required to collect payment.

  •  Provide documentation related to billing and payment as requested by internal customers, clients, insurance companies, and other parties.

  •  Perform various collection actions including contacting payers by phone, reviewing unpaid claims electronically, and correcting and resubmitting claims to third-party payers.


Minimum Qualifications:



  •  High school diploma or GED

  •  2 years of Billing and Collections experience.

  •  Intermediate computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software. Advanced skills preferred.

  •  Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
